and presents workshops for people from every walk
of life.

strategic planning, brainstorming and creative thinking
workshops for Corporate Groups that include TV3, RTE
and Mental Health Ireland! The kind of people have
come through the workshops are everything from web
designers, policemen, actors, lawyers, troublemakers
and comedians. Everyone benefits from the course whether
they have stage experience or not.
It is extremely
beneficial to have a forum for developing material
so that it can be tested before it is performed. These
workshops in Doyles Pub Fleet St. beside Trinity College
are the best forum to write, polish and perfect your
material, gain confidence and perform in front of
a live audience.
Through the process of the workshops everyone’s
material is polished and honed to produce the tightest
and best delivered material. The workshops unite your
personality with your sense of humour developing your
style of comedy into a solid stage persona.
Danny
Kehoe
I started acting
and comedy Improv classes in the summer of 1999 with
Black Box Theatre. I studied under the tutorage of
Pat Nolan, Rebecca Roper and John Dawson. I found
that comedy was a useful tool to help me with my acting
and that the two arts really complemented each other.
I auditioned for acting college, got in and completed
four years there (2004).
Improv and sketch
Comedy was always fascinating to me and whilst in
college I auditioned for some of the Dublin based
Improv groups. Thankfully I got in, I was in four
Improv comedy groups at one stage and was performing
three to four nights a week, which gave me incredible
confidence in myself and in my acting. Over the years
in I have performed at the Kilkenny Cat Laugh festivals,
Waterford Arts Festival, Galway Arts Festival. I was
a member of the first Irish Comedy Sportz team that
went to the CSZ Tournament (Milwaukee USA) in 2004
representing Dublin.
At the tournament
I met some club runners and promoters who asked us
to guest at their venues in Chicago, San Francisco
and San Jose. A colleague and myself then started
a new Improv / Sketch group in Dublin called Peppers.
I was also a founder member of the Cheeky Monkey Sketch
Comedy with Ciaran, which debuted at the 2005 Kilkenny
Festival.
It was at this festival
that I decided to try Stand Up Comedy. Later that
year I started doing open spots and entering competitions.
I made it to the semi finals of So You Think You Are
Funny at the Edinburgh Festival. I was also a semi
finalist in the Bulmers International Comedy Festival
(Dublin).
Since then I have
been gigging regularly all over the country as an
MC (Host), Improviser and as a Stand up. In addition
to all this I teach workshops in drama and comedy
to corporate groups, adults and kids.
