The workshops can feature
a variety different themes
and designed for your needs...
Careers talk: ‘A Life Less Ordinary’
Basic casual-day creative bonding sessions
Creative writing and storytelling
Improvisational comedy performance
Drama, character and scene building
Stand Up Comedy writing and performance
Live Performance followed by workshops for
the students:
A tried and tested format is a 20 minute introduction
careers talk at the beginning of the school year.
Usually myself and Danny Kehoe speak to the whole
year followed by a 20 minute live ‘improv’
performance to show what we do on stage. This is always
a big hit, and then we are booked class by class for
group workshops.
The Workshops can include
many different aspects:
Introduction
Relaxation exercises
Icebreakers
Group Bonding
Energy building games
Name games and actions
Reactive sequences, speed games
Listening Exercises
Interactive listening
Narrative development
Group projects featuring
Scene and Character Development
Elements of performance
Role Play
Team and individual Presentation
Visualisation
Feedback and Affirmation
The wisdom behind the exercises:
While these exercises and ‘games’ are
non-competitive and inclusive they also provide invaluable
experience in the areas of Personal Development, Public
Speaking, Creative thinking, Brainstorming, Confidence
Building, Decision making, Task execution with team
members, Participation in the Creative Process (and
its fun!!)
